Simpson County Detention Center closed to visitors due to state of emergency

FRANKLIN, Ky.- The Simpson County Detention Center will be closed to visitors until further notice due to the state of emergency declared by Gov. Andy Beshear.
According to Simpson County Jailer Eric Vaughn, all visitation and outside volunteers will be prohibited from entering.
Vaughn said that there are no reports of coronavirus at the jail, but he and his staff are being proactive to prevent any spread inside the facility.
