WNKY News 40 Weather Forecast

HOT WEEKEND, WET WEEK AHEAD

It’s another hot and humid weekend across the region, with temperatures climbing into the upper 80s both today and Sunday. Most of Sunday will stay dry, but you’ll notice clouds gradually increasing as we head toward Sunday night. Overnight temperatures remain very warm as well, only falling into the upper 60s and lower 70s.

STORMS RETURN MONDAY

The quiet weather comes to an end late Sunday night as showers and thunderstorms begin moving back into the area. Rain chances remain high Monday and Tuesday, with several rounds of showers and storms expected. While we won’t completely lose the summer heat, temperatures will ease back into the mid-80s early in the week before climbing back toward 90 degrees by Wednesday and beyond. Daily storm chances remain in the forecast through much of next week.
