Runners take on BG 26.2 and Half Marathon

A race to the Boston Marathon.

The streets of Bowling Green were filled with many this Sunday morning, running in the 7th BG 26.2 and half-marathon in a race against Multiple Sclerosis.

The Boston Marathon qualifying course is a 13.1-mile loop.

It started at the Bowling Green Ballpark and stretched through downtown and the campus of Western K University.

There was a six-hour time limit on the race.

After six hours, participants had to move to the sidewalks or to the extreme right of the road.

Participants looking to qualify for the Boston Marathon must run the course twice.

Congratulations to everyone that qualified or just enjoyed taking a lap through the historic downtown Bowling Green on a beautiful, fall morning.
