Red River Rats decide to raise money for Aviation Heritage Park Museum

BOWLING GREEN Ky.-The upcoming Aviation Heritage Park Museum has received a very valuable financial partner.

The Red River Rats is an organization that was founded by aviators who were flying during the Vietnam War. There are now more than 5,000 members across the country.

The organization is working to raise funds for the Aviation Heritage Park Museum. The park has raised $600,000 dollars as of now. They are working to match an anonymous donation pledge of $500,000.

The park’s director Joe Tinius said he’s glad to have this new partner to help bring the museum to life.

“We were very excited when the Red River Rats said they wanted to get involved with the fundraising aspect of the museum. Being a national organization with 5,000 members, we think there are a lot of positives beyond the monetary fundraising,” Tinius said.

As of now, the plan is for the construction of the museum to begin this year.
