Gas line rupture prompts street closures, residence evacuation in Auburn

AUBURN, Ky. – A gas line rupture is causing street closures and evacuations in Auburn Tuesday morning.

According to the Auburn Fire Department, a gas line rupture has closed the downtown square to Spring Street, Mill Street, and part of South Lincoln Street.

AFD says residents have been evacuated.

Officials say Atmos Energy crews are on site working to mitigate the leak.

AFD says motorists should seek alternate routes.
