Suspect in Glasgow death of mother, unborn baby scheduled for next pretrial conference

GLASGOW, Ky.- The case involving the death of a pregnant woman is moving forward in Barren County.

On April 6, officers responded to a shooting off of Cleveland Avenue in Glasgow. Authorities say 25-year-old Brandon Bond shot Ava Woodcock, who was 36 weeks pregnant at the time.

They also said there was a domestic dispute between the two before Bond shot Woodcock. After firing the gun at her, Bond fled the scene armed with a handgun.

He was apprehended not far from the scene by the Glasgow Police Department and is currently at the Barren County Detention Center.

Ava Woodcock and her unborn baby both died from the gunshot wound. Back at the scene’s location, there’s a memorial to remember Ava and her unborn baby.

Now in the case, Bond has a $2 million bond and has been charged with murder, fetal homicide and fleeing or evading police.

He was last seen in court Oct. 13. His next pretrial conference is set for January 25, in 2027.
