Grimace, Big Red make special appearance at Bowling Green McDonald’s
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — McDonald’s customers in Bowling Green received a special visit as Grimace made a stop in the city during his “Giddy-Up Grimace” tour across the greater Tennessee Valley.
The event was part of McDonald’s efforts to introduce its new lineup of beverages while bringing families and community members together.
Visitors had the opportunity to take photos with Grimace, spin a prize wheel for themed merchandise, and sample some of the restaurant’s new drinks.
Paul Burrow, a local McDonald’s owner and operator, said the event provided an opportunity to connect with customers while introducing new offerings.
“It’s good to see people come out and support us. We appreciate it,” Burrow said.
Burrow acknowledged that the new beverages are arriving later than some customers may have expected but said the restaurant wanted to offer products that appeal to the community.
The celebration also featured a surprise appearance from Western Kentucky University’s mascot, Big Red.
Big Red joined Grimace for photos with guests, interacted with customers and explored the restaurant, including taking a look at the new beverage menu.
The event also gave McDonald’s employees an opportunity to interact with visitors and see the excitement surrounding the special appearances.
As Grimace continues his tour throughout the region, McDonald’s hopes to introduce more customers to its expanded beverage offerings.
