Med Center Health Foundation receives $4.2 million donation from local charitable foundation

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Med Center Health Foundation received a $4.2 million donation from the Robert and Mary Tichner Charitable Foundation, according to a release.
Med Center Health says the foundation previously donated $1.6 million, including a $1 million gift in 2024 to the Guardian Angel Children’s Services Program.
“This is the largest gift our Foundation has ever received, and we are deeply grateful for the opportunity to carry forward Robert and Mary Tincher’s legacy of giving back to the community,” said Connie Smith, President and CEO of Med Center Health. “The Tinchers demonstrated remarkable compassion for the children in our community. Through the Robert and Mary Tincher Guardian Angel Children’s Services Program, their generosity will help provide free or reduced-cost care to local children in need for years to come.”
The donation will support the Robert and Mary Tincher Guardian Angel Children’s Services Endowment for pediatric medical, dental, and orthodontic care to children in Bowling Green and Warren County, according to the release.
“We recognize this gift represents years of time and faithful stewardship by Robert and Mary Tincher as well as the Tincher Foundation Board of Directors,” said Michele Lawless, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer at Med Center Health. “We are honored they have entrusted us to carry on their legacy. We accept that responsibility with gratitude and a deep commitment to the children and families we serve.”
The donation will provide pediatric services through its Community Clinic and Dental Clinic.
According to the release, more than 400 children used funds from the Robert and Mary Tincher Guardian Angel Children’s Services Program in 2025.
