Portion of road shut down due to bridge damage in Hopkinsville

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – The northbound lanes of Fort Campbell Boulevard at the Masonville underpass in Hopkinsville are closed after a nearby bridge was struck, crews say.

According to Hopkinsville Fire/EMS, as of 3:36 p.m. Thursday, both lanes remain shut down.

The agency says this follows after a dump truck hit the Masonville train bridge.

Crews say Hopkinsville fire and police are assisting traffic around the area using the emergency lane.

According to the agency, investigators with Fort Campbell are on their way to evaluate the structural integrity. Delays should be expected in the area for the next several hours.
