Roads to close for candlelight vigil honoring Trooper Hayden Phillips

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police says it will be working with the Kentucky State Highway Department to close a short portion of Jamestown Street (KY55) near KSP Post 15 on Thursday, Oct. 1.

According to agency, the closure will occur at 6 p.m. CST for a candlelight vigil honoring the life of Trooper Hayden Phillips.

The road closure will take place on Jamestown Street at the Bomar Heights Street intersection, beside Speedway, down to the intersection of the 49 exit for the Cumberland Parkway.

Drivers needing to reach Columbia, via the Cumberland Parkway, will need to utilize the 46 exit instead of the 49 exit. The road shutdown is anticipated to last around two to three hours, according to the agency.
