Glasgow lowers flags to honor fallen KSP trooper

GLASGOW, Ky. (WNKY) — Glasgow Mayor Henry Royse is ordering all city flags lowered to half-staff to honor Kentucky State Police Trooper Hayden Phillips, who previously served with the Glasgow Police Department, according to a social media post by the City of Glasgow.

The city says Phillips served with the Glasgow Police Department from September 2021 to August 2024 before becoming a state trooper.

Phillips was killed Monday while patrolling Interstate 65 in Warren County.

Law enforcement apprehended the suspect in the Louisville area shortly after 5 p.m. Central Time.
