Plano Fire Department receives $152,000 FEMA grant

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Plano Fire Department has been awarded a FEMA Assistance grant of over $152,000. 

The grant will fund the purchase of new self-contained breathing apparatus air packs, bottles and masks, according to the department. 

SCBAs provide firefighters with clean, breathable air in hazardous environments and dangerous conditions.

The Plano Fire Department said the funding will help replace outdated equipment, allowing them to better protect their firefighters and the community.
