Bowling Green man charged with DUI after allegedly driving onto median
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is charged with multiple offenses after allegedly driving onto a median Saturday night.
According to a uniform citation, Bowling Green police were dispatched for a reported non-injury crash along the 3200 block of Scottsville Road. Authorities say a caller stated a driver had “spun out” and “driven onto the median” in front of Drury Inn.
According to police, the caller further stated a subject got out of the vehicle and tried to push it off of the median.
Authorties say upon arrival, they made contact with 56-year-old Michael Lee of Bowling Green.
Officers say Lee had a strong odor of alcoholic beverages. Authorities say Standard Field Sobriety Testing was not conducted due to it being unsafe in the middle of the roadway with an unsteady subject.
During a vehicle search, police say they located suspected marijuana.
Lee was placed into custody and transported to The Medical Center at Bowling Green for a blood draw. He was later taken to the Warren County Regional Jail.
Lee faces charges of first-degree wanton endangerment, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess and reckless driving.
