3 injured after Barren County crash, one victim flown for treatment

BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Three people sustained injuries in a crash in Barren County Sunday afternoon.

According to a Barren County Sheriff’s Office press release, deputies responded to a two-vehicle collision in the 26000 block of Louisville Road just before 3 pm.

BCSCO says a John Deere 2750 tractor, driven by 63-year-old Danny Winchester, was traveling north when it experienced a front-end mechanical failure. Investigators say the tractor traveled into the southbound lane and struck the rear of an SUV driven by 69-year-old Samuel Cassidy. The tractor left the roadway and rested on its side. The SUV exited the roadway and rested in a ditch line.

Cassidy and his passenger, 56-year-old Laura Cassidy, were transported to TJ Samson Community Hospital for treatment.

Winchester was flown to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment.
