Allen County man charged with forgery involving several thousand dollars in checks

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – An Allen County man is charged with forgery involving over $6,000 in checks.

According to a uniform citation, the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force received information on Thursday that 31-year-old Dustin Graves of Scottsville illegally possessed a gun, had absconded supervision and had allegedly stolen thousands of dollars using checks from the account of family members.

Authorities say they located Graves and detained him.

Deputies say they located a backpack in the woods containing a large amount of methamphetamine, simulated methamphetamine and additional drug paraphernalia. According to authorities, the stolen checks were also present.

Graves was taken into custody and transported to the Allen County Detention Center.

He faces charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (greater than or equal to 2 grams of methamphetamine), manufacturing a simulated controlled substance, first offense, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess and first-degree forgery.
