Woman charged with drug offenses after Glasgow traffic stop

GLASGOW, Ky. – One woman is behind bars on drug charges following a traffic stop in Glasgow.

According to a release by the Glasgow Police Department, on Wednesday, Aug. 5, officers conducted a traffic stop on Grandview Avenue.

Police say the driver was identified as 39-year-old Brittany Meshea Jones of Glasgow and received consent to search Jones and the vehicle. Officers say they located methamphetamine and gabapentin in a cigarette case.

Jones was arrested and charged with obstructed vision and/or windshield, failure to produce insurance card, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine), and third-degree possession of a controlled substance – drug unspecified.

She has since been released, according to jail records.
