Warren County Public Schools starting new ‘ Back-to-School Facility Full-Court Press’ tradition

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Warren County Public Schools is preparing to start a new tradition on Saturday, Aug. 8, known as ‘ Back-to-School Facility Full-Court Press.’
The event is scheduled for Saturday to clean athletic facilities and maintain fields at all WCPS middle and high schools, in preparation for the upcoming school year.
Facility Full Court Press invites all community members, school faculty, student-athletes of all sports, and boosters to join.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own tools such as mowers, rakes, shovels, and cleaning materials.
Organizers hope this event will help strengthen the Bowling Green community while teaching important lessons to its student athletes.
“I think it builds relationships both ways around the student athletes getting to see those people who donate money and donate their time to help our programs, working right alongside of them,” said Warren County Public Schools Athletic Director Greg Howard. “To see that this is how we need to do things. Our donors are participating like everybody else and giving their time and financial support to our programs.”
Howard believes ‘Facility Full Court Press’ will be the start of a new tradition across Warren County Schools that will continue to grow for many years to come.
