Sheldon’s Express Pharmacy opens new location in north Warren County
WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Sheldon’s Pharmacy Express opened a new location in north Warren County. This is its fourth in Bowling Green but its 10th overall store opening.
Steve Sheldon, CEO and founder of Sheldon Express Pharmacy, said there have already been thousands of transfers to the new store. He also said creating spaces where people can be safe, healthy and happy is what his company stands for.
“It was a way for me to reach out and touch just about anybody and help them without any other considerations. There’s a lot of negativities in the world. There’s a lot of things going on. Even 40 years ago it felt like there needed to be a moment in time where people could walk in and feel cared for no matter who they were, no matter where they came from,” Sheldon said.
According to the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association, Kentucky has 54.2 percent of independent pharmacies. Sheldon’s Express adds on to that list. The store offers new jobs and a closer location for families in north Warren County.
Sheldon said, “Initially, it will be 10 to 15 jobs, and then it can grow from there. We’ve seen some stores get up to 80 to 90 employees, so you never really know where it’s going but this one had a great start. There’s several thousand people who have already transferred here. It’s only been a few weeks.”
Sheldon’s Pharmacy Express opened its first location in 1988.
He said this specific location is close to his heart because his family is from north Warren County. He is grateful to the surrounding communities for trusting his business to serve them.
“Thank you for the support. Thank you for just wanting us here and accepting us with open arms,” Sheldon said.
The new location is located at 3158 Louisville Road.
