Isenberg to be named head coach of South Warren baseball
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Just one day before the start of KHSAA dead period, South Warren High School announced its newest head coaching hire for the Spartan baseball team.
Following the retirement of longtime head coach Chris Gage, the program is set to bring in someone with plenty of experience in the 4th Region, and even within the 14th District: former Bowling Green Purples head coach Nathan Isenberg.
Isenberg and the Purples are fresh off a KHSAA State Tournament appearance in 2026, being one of just a select few teams in the Bluegrass to pass the 30-win mark.
Two weeks ago, Bowling Green posted the baseball head coaching spot.
During his 8-year tenure at BGHS, Isenberg managed to go 194-64 with four district championships and a pair of region titles.
He is now set to become just the second-ever head baseball coach at South Warren, taking over a team that may have a brief history, but a rich one that’s full of success.
