McAlister’s Deli draws big crowds for Bowling Green opening

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – McAlister’s Deli is now open at its new Bowling Green location, kicking off with a packed parking lot and a long line waiting to get inside.

Some customers showed up hours early for a chance to be one of the first out of 100 to grab a free sandwich during the grand opening.

Kito Cody, chief operating officer of Southern Rock Restaurant, said the deli sets itself apart by serving fresh food every day and keeping the focus on people.

Cody said the company tries to build a family feel inside the workplace and carry that into the community.

“We center a lot of what we do around community and family. We have over 6,000 team members right now. We try to build that from the inside of the organization and support the communities we work in,” Cody said.

The new location will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. at 2127 Gary Farm Blvd.
