BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – As part of Duncan Hines Days, The Capitol hosted its third annual Dolly Trolley and Dolly Movie Night.

The event featured attendees dressed as Dolly Parton, a trolley ride through downtown Bowling Green and a free screening of the movie Steel Magnolias.

Organizers say the event is designed to provide families with a free evening of entertainment while encouraging community members to take part in Duncan Hines Days festivities.

They also say the event is a fitting way to kick off the festival because The Capitol has historic ties to Bowling Green dating back to the era when Duncan Hines lived in the area during the late 19th century.

Leaders say events like Dolly Trolley and Dolly Movie Night continue to bring residents and visitors together while celebrating both local history and community traditions.
