Crews respond to commercial vehicle fire in Hart County

HART COUNTY, Ky. – First responders were on scene of a reported vehicle fire in Hart County on Saturday.
According to a social media post by the Horse Cave Fire Department, units were dispatched at 1:07 p.m. Saturday for a commercial vehicle fire at the northbound rest area.
In addition, the department says Munfordville Fire and Rescue was requested for mutual aid.
Crews say the commercial vehicle driver was able to detach the front portion from the trailer, preventing further spread of the fire.
The department says the front part of the vehicle was fully engulfed before units arrived on scene.
Crews extinguished the fire with no damage outside of the initial vehicle, according to the department.
Law enforcement and a wrecker service additionally assisted during the incident.
