On-duty Leitchfield police officer flown for treatment after suffering major medical event
CLARKSON, Ky. – Officials say a Leitchfield police officer suggested a major medical emergency while on duty Sunday.
According to news partner K105, the officer was in the 8900 block of Grayson Springs Road to assist the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office and the Clarkson Fire Department at approximately 5:30 pm.
Officials told K105 the officer collapsed and was unresponsive while climbing a steep embankment.
The officer was transported to the Clarkson Ballpark, where he was airlifted to a Louisville hospital.
