Park City to Honor Chris Martin with street dedication ceremony

BARREN COUNTY, KY.- The Park City community is coming together to honor the legacy of Chris Martin with a street dedication ceremony later this month.

State Rep. Steve Riley, and Barren County Judge-Executive Jamie Bewley Byrd are expected to speak during the ceremony recognizing Martin’s impact on the community.

Martin passed away more than two decades ago, but organizers say his legacy continues through his family and the many lives he touched.

Community leaders say the dedication is meant to preserve Martin’s memory and recognize the contributions his family has made to Barren County over the years.

“It’s always important to keep the memory of someone alive,” Byrd said. “His parents did so much for the community and continue to do so even after his passing. This is a recognition of Chris, but also of the family and everything they’ve meant to this area.”

The dedication ceremony will take place May 23 at 10 a.m. in Park City.
