Legacy Christian Academy’s Rebekah Randolph signs with Brescia University for basketball
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Legacy Christian Academy senior basketball standout, Rebekah Randolph, has officially signed to continue her athletic career at Brescia University.
Randolph signed during a ceremony held inside the Legacy Christian Academy gymnasium, surrounded by coaches, teammates, family and friends.
Randolph leaves behind an impressive legacy at Legacy Christian Academy, where she was a five-year starter for the girls basketball program. According to Legacy Athletic Director Shaun Cummings, Randolph is the school’s all-time leader in points, rebounds and blocked shots.
During her senior season, Randolph averaged 15.5 points, 11.2 rebounds and three blocks per game.
Throughout her career, she earned several honors, including Team MVP, KCAA Holiday Classic All-Tournament Team, KCAA All-State Tournament Team, KCAA Super-Regional All-Tournament Team and back-to-back KCAA All-State selections.
“Rebekah is a selfless player, and that is the type of player we look for at Brescia,” said Brescia assistant coach Preston Blanton. “Her size and post presence will be big for us and help us compete in the River States Conference. She’s willing to learn, and we feel like we can help develop her for long-term success.”
Legacy Christian Academy head coach Blake Austin says Randolph played a major role in the program’s success.
“Rebekah has been an anchor for our team,” Austin said. “She’s dominant down low, brings intensity to practice and does whatever it takes to help the team win. I’m excited for her future, and I know she’ll bring that same intensity to Brescia.”
Randolph’s signing marks another milestone for Legacy Christian Academy athletics and reflects the dedication and leadership she demonstrated throughout her high school career.
