T.J. Samson receives “A” grade from national nonprofit for patient safety

GLASGOW, Ky. – A national nonprofit has awarded a local hospital the highest grade for patient safety.
According to a release, T.J. Samson Community Hospital was awarded the Leapfrog Group’s “A” Hospital Safety Grade for the sixth consecutive grading round.
Leapfrog is a national nonprofit watchdog that focuses on patient safety.
The award designates T.J. Samson as a “Straight A” hospital after receiving an “A” for Spring 2026 and the last five grading rounds.
According to the release, Leapfrog Group uses letter grading to evaluate evidence-based measures of errors, accidents, injuries and infections as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.
