WKU Player of Week: Hilltopper first baseman Annie White
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Today’s WKU Player of the Week is Hilltopper softball first baseman Annie White.
The squad went 4-0 in games last week with wins over Evansville and UTEP, and White played a huge role.
Across those games, she slugged a .545 batting average, going 6-for-11 with two singles, two doubles and two home runs.
One of those home runs marked the team’s 51st of the season which officially broke WKU’s single-season home run record.
White’s efforts this year have helped propel the Tops to set even more records in best home start and longest win streak.
So far this season, White is ranked third in Conference USA with a .429 batting average and eighth for a nearly perfect fielding percentage.
White and the Tops will be back in action this weekend in a series with Kennesaw State.
