WKU BSB: Hilltoppers Drop Game Two to Liberty

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Baseball (16-15; 4-7 CUSA) fell to Liberty (21-9; 8-3 CUSA) 6-2 on Friday afternoon at Nick Denes Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Liberty took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first on a sacrifice fly.

The Flames added a pair in the second to take a three-run lead.

A single from Ian Nguyen and a double down the left field line by Parker Coley moved Nguyen over to third with one out in the fifth.

Reid Howard then recorded an RBI groundout to bring Nguyen across to make it a 3-1 game.

The Flames added a run in the sixth, seventh, and eighth.

In the bottom of the eighth with Austin Haller on second base, Camden Ross laced an RBI double into the right-center gap to score Haller and make it a 6-2 game.

The Hilltoppers move to 16-15 on the year and 4-7 in league play.

Aaron Robertson started on the mound for WKU Friday.

In relief on Friday, WKU used Mick Uebelhor, Zach Lyles, and Dawson Hall.

Uebelhor tossed 4.1 innings, striking out three and allowing one run on five hits.

Camden Ross led the offense on Friday, going 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Two more Hilltoppers finished with two hits on Friday.
