WKU Player of the Week: Hilltopper outfielder Hayden Robbins

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Today’s WKU Player of the Week is Hilltopper outfielder Hayden Robbins.

Western opened conference play with a series sweep over FIU over the weekend and Robbins was a big part of that.

The junior went 4-4 from the plate with three runs and an inside the park homer to take the lead in the fourth inning in game three against the Panthers.

His four hits marked a new single-game season high for WKU.

Even more notable, Robbins’ inside the park home run was the first for a Hilltopper in 17 years.

This is Robbins’ first year on the Hill, but he is a Richmond, Kentucky, native.

He spent the beginning of his collegiate career at Morehead State before joining the Tops this past offseason.

WKU baseball is now 12-8 on the season with a 3-0 mark in the league.
