WKU Player of the Week: Hilltopper outfielder Parker Coley

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – This week’s WKU Athletics Player of the Week is Hilltopper baseball’s Parker Coley!
The outfielder consistently showed up for the Tops at the plate, putting up at least one hit and one RBI in each of the team’s four games.
In the matchup with Cincinnati, Coley recorded two hits and an RBI, and in the series with Indiana State, he tallied four hits and five RBI through three contests.
His production versus the Sycamores proved to be game-changing, as Coley earned the game-winning hit on Friday night and his three RBI on Sunday were the same total as the game’s margin of victory, with WKU winning 7-4.
On the season, the graduate transfer from Southeastern Louisiana has started in six of the team’s nine matchups, and with his offensive efficiency growing as of late, it would appear head coach Marc Rardin would continue to write his name into the lineup card.
Coley and the Hilltoppers are set to open Conference USA play this weekend with a trio of home games versus FIU.
First pitch in the series opener on Friday is set for 6 p.m. at Nick Denes Field.
