Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. holds Rooted in History, Rising in Service gala
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Dozens gathered for the Rooted in History, Rising in Service gala this past weekend to shine a light on people who made a massive difference in the community.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. hosted an unforgettable gala, bringing together distinguished guests. The event served as a meaningful opportunity to honor esteemed leaders, such as Dr. Saundra Starks, Dr. Maxine Hardin, mayor Joe Denning and many others whose impact continues to shape and strengthen our communities.
Through their recognition, they also inspired and empowered the next generation to lead and serve.
LaToya Wynn, the Delta Sigma Theta Alumnae chapter president, says, “It brings to the forefront, letting everybody in the Warren County community know that there are still people around that are giving back to the community that love bowling green area and love to see it flourish and thrive.”
More than a celebration, the evening served as a powerful reminder of the importance of leadership, scholarship and community engagement, leaving guests inspired and encouraging future generations to continue striving for greatness.
Michelle Hardesty, Delta Sigma Theta Alumnae gala chair, says, “This event is to honor, those who have come before us, who put in the work, who exude everything that we’re about as a sorority. And not only that, for the next generation, we are doing scholarships.”
