Registration now open for 2026 Aviation Summer Camps

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green-Warren County Regional Airport is hosting the annual Aviation Summer Camps in conjunction with the Aviation Museum of Kentucky, and registration is now open.
The camps will run from July 6 through July 9, organizers say.
This year, organizers say there will be two Aviation Summer Camps: The Jim and Jan Bohannon Aviation Summer Camp will take place July 6-7, 2025, for ages 10-17, while the Larry and Mona Beam Aviation Summer Camp will take place July 8-9, 2025, for ages 10 and over, including adults.
The Jim and Jan Bohannon camp has 33 available spots for registration, and the Larry and Mona Beam camp has 35 spots available for registration.
Students will take part in learning aircraft instruments, engine and aircraft design, use of the aeronautical maps for navigation, flight planning, weather, NASA space, aviation careers, practicing take offs and landings with a flight simulator, plus organizers say the students will assist in flying a real airplane with an FAA Certified Flight Instructor, from our local flight school, Flywell Aviation.
Campers also get to go to Aviation Heritage Park and Museum for a tour.
