Glasgow man charged after alleged kidnapping, assault

GLASGOW, Ky. (WNKY) – A Glasgow man is facing multiple charges after police say he allegedly assaulted two women and took a juvenile from a residence Thursday night.
Officers with the Glasgow Police Department responded Feb. 19 to a home on Lexington Drive for a reported disturbance. According to a release to News 40, a preliminary investigation determined Troy Lawson allegedly came to the residence, assaulted two females and entered a bedroom before allegedly taking a juvenile and leaving.
Police said officers later located Lawson and the child a short distance from the residence. The juvenile was returned to the home and was not injured.
Lawson was arrested and charged with public intoxication controlled substance, second-degree burglary, fourth-degree assault (minor injury), second-degree assault, kidnapping of a minor and endangering the welfare of a minor.
Officer Patrick Wade made the arrest, according to Public Information Officer Major Terry Flatt.
The investigation remains ongoing.
