Kentucky State Police investigating murder of mother, son in Allen County

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is investigating the murders of a juvenile and a woman in Allen County.
According to a release, the Allen County Sheriff’s Office contacted Kentucky State Police just before 7 pm to conduct a death investigation at 334 Stamps Road in Scottsville on Wednesday evening.
Trooper Katan Parker says the preliminary investigation determined that a 12-year-old male juvenile and a woman, 42-year-old Traci Trasky, were found dead inside the home.
Parker confirmed to WNKY News that the victims are a mother and son.
Parker says Trasky’s vehicle was missing from the scene.
The vehicle was located on Pleasant Field Church Road, unoccupied, a short time later, according to a release.
The Allen County Sheriff’s Office and Scottsville Police Department launched a drone and the suspect was located in the area. The suspect was running through the woods.
Law enforcement says the suspect, a 17-year-old male juvenile, was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit.
Following further investigation and interviews, the 17-year-old male juvenile was arrested and charged with two counts of murder, tampering with physical evidence, theft by unlawful taking or disposition of an automobile and first-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot).
The investigation is ongoing.
