WKU Player of the Week: baseball infielder Lane Arroyos
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Our WKU Player of the Week honor this week goes to Hilltopper baseball’s Lane Arroyos!
The first baseman is taking home the award after showing out in WKU’s season opening series this past weekend.
During the Tops four-game series split with the BYU Cougars, Arroyos was a factor both at the plate and in the field.
Stepping into the batter’s box, the junior from Texas accounted for five RBI, powered by a double and two home runs, and he ended the first series with a .333 batting average.
Arroyos held down the fort at first base too, recording a team-leading 25 putouts and a .960 fielding percentage.
The first-year WKU infielder played a big part in games one through four and will be an important piece of the roster for head coach Marc Rardin throughout the remainder of the 2026 season.
