‘Hero’ dog helps lead police to missing child in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (CBS News) – A Louisville Metro pup is being hailed a hero for helping local police find a missing 3-year-old on Saturday.
According to CBS News, the Louisville Metro Police Department shared body camera video of the search, which closed with a happy ending.
In the video, you can hear officer Josh Thompson of the seventh division, who was on the case. He said the search led them to a house, at that house, he was approached by a dog.
Thompson says to the dog, “Let’s go find him, let’s go! Where’s he at?”
Officers were eventually led to the back of a house, still guided by the dog, where they found the child in the passenger seat of a vehicle.
“Outstanding work by our officers, and a four-legged friend who reminded us that heroes come in all forms,” a social post from LMPD said.
