WKU Player of the Week: track and field pole vaulter Sophia Roskoski
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – This week’s WKU Athletics Player of the Week honor goes to track and field pole vaulter Sophia Roskoski!
After reaching 4.17 meters in the air at the PNC Lenny Lyles Ivitational, the junior set records both of her own and for the Hilltoppers.
The mark was a personal best for the Stillwater, Minnesota native, and it also was a record for the WKU indoor program.
Roskoski took home the top spot in the weekend event and also claimed the highest mark that Conference USA has seen all season.
She now holds three of the top five spots for pole vaulting in WKU history and will look to build on her latest remarkable achievement at the Tyson Invitational in Arkansas a week from Friday.
