Two Metcalfe County residents indicted by grand jury
BROWNSVILLE, Ky- A Metcalfe county couple is behind bars tonight after being indicted by a grand jury. The case dates back to April 2019 when William Hawkins and Marketa Vibbert were accused of using methamphetamine around their infant child, according to a release from the Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office. Both are facing a first degree wanton endangerment charge as well as a charge for endangering the welfare of a minor.
The infant later needed medical attention. Hawkins and Vibbert are accused of not providing that care. As a result, the child was placed in protective custody.
Yesterday, the Metcalfe County Grand Jury returned indictments on both Hawkins and Vibbert, both of whom were then arrested.
They are now in the Barren County Jail.
