Bowling Green Veterans Center legislation passes unanimously in State House
FRANKFORT, Ky.- A center for veterans in Bowling Green took another step toward becoming a reality on Monday.
The House of Representatives voted 90-0 to appropriate $2.5 million for the design and preconstruction costs for the facility.
State Rep. Michael Meredith of Brownsville introduced the bipartisan legislation, which is cosponsored by multiple legislators including Rep. Patti Minter of Bowling Green.
If the center is built, it will be located in the Kentucky Transpark and will be only the fourth veterans center in the state.
The legislation now heads to the Senate.
