Diamond Elite Sports Complex cuts ribbon on first indoor batting cages in Glasgow
GLASGOW, Ky. – The first indoor batting cages in the city of Glasgow are now open to the public.
Diamond Elite Sports Complex, located on West Main Street, cut the ribbon on its new facility Friday afternoon.
The idea came from Lacey and Kevin Kerr, who have kids that play both baseball and softball.
They always had trouble finding places to practice, especially on rainy days, without having to travel to Bowling Green.
That’s when they decided to create a place for kids in Glasgow to come have fun and not worry about the weather, while also continuing to grow their skills.
“To be able to be closer to home and give back to our community, we thought that that’s the best way to just be a part of the community, help it grow, help the kids grow and see things happen here,” Lacey says.
Diamond Elite is located at 1759 West Main Street in Glasgow.
