WKU Player of the Week: guard Salma Khedr

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Our WKU Player of the Week honor this week goes to Lady Topper guard Salma Kedhr.

While the Lady Toppers were at home last week for two games, Kedhr was able to provide the scoring spark that head coach Greg Collins needed to keep WKU in both games, and she even led her team to its first victory inside of Conference USA play this season, taking down UTEP on Saturday.

The sophomore averages just 9.5 points on the year as a whole, but she strung together two straight 18-point performances in front of the Diddle Arena crowd to boost her squad’s efforts.

In addition to her offense, the Giza, Egypt native notched a pair of career highs with three assists versus UTEP and three steals versus New Mexico State.
