Local pup finds its fur-ever home
BUTLER COUNTY, Ky. – It was adoption day for a local pup named Benny at the Butler County Animal Shelter.
Thanks to law enforcement, they were able to sponsor his adoption and give a dog that was full of fear a new, forever home.
Morgantown police chief Giles Taylor says, “It’s really come a long way from where we’re at was. I’m proud of where it’s at, and I’m proud of where it’s going. And that’s due in large part to Ruby and all those people that work down there, you know, every day to, to make it better. “
This isn’t the first time Giles has supported the shelter, and he encourages everyone to support even if you can financially.
He also says, “You give to him, humane society, everybody we want, everybody. It helps the animals. It helps the families that adopt them. You know, if you ever heard the old saying that, god will send you a dog when you know when you need one. So any chance that we could get to help them, we need to.”
If you’d like to volunteer your time by walking dogs or playing with cats, or just donating cleaning supplies, reach out to your local shelter.
