15th annual Frozen4 Race to raise money for local student-athlete
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – As the new year approaches, so does the 15th annual Frozen4 race that helps raise funds for local high school students in need of assistance.
Over the past 15 years, the Frozen4 race has helped many different local high school student-athletes who had serious injuries and are in need of assistance with medical bills.
This year, the race is seeing a record number of participants for the 4-mile run and 2-mile walk. The 2026 race will help Franklin-Simpson senior Mason Davis, who was severely injured in a car accident back in 2024.
If you do not feel like running or walking, you can still help by donating and raising money.
With record numbers of participants, they hope to provide Davis and his family with plenty of assistance as he continues his recovery.
“It’s been a miraculous recovery. You know, considering the severity of his injuries. But he still has quite a long ways to go,” said Harlan Holmes, a volunteer with the Frozen4 Race. “The funds raised from this race go directly to the beneficiary, it helps with his medical bills. It’s going to be a lot. This is going to take some time. This is sort of a life-changing event for him,” Holmes added.
The race will take place on Saturday, Jan. 3 at Ephram White Park. If you are interested in signing up to run, walk, or just donate, visit https://runsignup.com/Race/KY/BowlingGreen/Frozen4MileRun2MileWalk
