How Kentuckians are impacted by health insurance changes
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Medicaid members can now change their managed care organization at any time and are no longer limited to a specific open enrollment period.
Lawmakers considered several bills last week related to Medicaid, but none of them passed. On Wednesday, four House members crossed the aisle and agreed to vote with Democrats to force a vote, but it did not pass.
According to Pricilla Easterling with Kynect, “Kentuckians are kind of hanging in the balance, because they’re looking at this income for this incredible price increase, price shock, for their yearly for their monthly premium next year. And for some folks, you know, it’s $100 a month, but that’s $1,200 for the year.”
