Allen County Animal Shelter introduces new song to help promote adoptions
SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – The Allen County-Scottsville Animal Shelter is getting creative to spread the word about adoption.
A pair of supporters, Bill and Lana, asked their son-in-law, musician Brandon Taylor, to write a song called “Take Me Home (Shelter Song)” to promote adopting animals.
With Allen County being one of the smallest shelters in the region, staff say every bit of support makes a difference, especially from someone who has been a long-time supporter of the shelter.
“We’re thankful for the song… and he did a fantastic job. We just hope it brings some awareness to the… we’re a small shelter, and we just hope it brings some more in us here, and also for these. I mean, look you can’t pass this up right? For these adorable pets,” shelter director Johnathan Carter says.
You can stream the song on Spotify or YouTube, and if you’re interested in dropping by to adopt a pet, the shelter is located at 51 Humane Lane in Scottsville.
