Warren County Public Schools cuts ribbon on Early Learning Academy

BOWLING GREEN, Ky – Inspiration, engagement, and innovation are a few opportunities offered at the Early Learning Academy, and dozens of city, state, and community leaders came together to learn more about the future success of students and the importance of having a solid foundation.

“Research and neuroscience teach us that what children are exposed to from birth until five years old really does give them a head start,” Muriel Summers, Global Ambassador for Education with Franklin Covey Leader in Me, said

The Franklin Covey Leader in Me partnership with Warren County Public Schools plays a major part in shaping the structure of the academy. It also took support from people in the community who value the students.

“They have an opportunity that they may not be getting at home or that they certainly wouldn’t be if they weren’t in a structured learning environment,” David Chandler, an investor, said. “The people on the ground, or who are the staff on the ground, or who make a difference in day interaction with the children.”

Not only is this providing the students a safe space to learn how to communicate, collaborate, and solve problems – it also gives them a chance to discover pathways they will see when they get older.

“Everything here was done so intentionally. It wasn’t like let’s create a culinary arts lab or was create a stem lab. They’re looking at a vision that will span the course of three years old to seniors in high school.”
