Hardin County man charged with criminal abuse involving infant

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. – An Elizabethtown man is charged in an ongoing child abuse investigation.
According to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded on Oct. 28 to a report of suspected physical abuse involving an infant.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division, in coordination with Child Protective Services, began an investigation, authorities say.
Over the past two weeks, the sheriff’s office says investigators have interviewed parents and medical professionals about significant injuries sustained by the infant.
As a result of the investigation, 19-year-old Zachary Foster of Elizabethtown was arrested. Foster is charged with first-degree criminal abuse of a child 12 or under.
The case remains active, and this investigation is ongoing.
