Franklin-Simpson’s Ferguson signs to play two sports at Lindsey Wilson

FRANKLIN, Ky. – Wednesday morning at Franklin-Simpson High School, Lady Cat Lilly Ferguson became part of rare air, signing to play multiple sports in her next chapter.

Ferguson is headed to Lindsey Wilson College where she will join the Blue Raider soccer and Blue Raider softball squads.

She was an important piece of the puzzle in getting Lady Cats soccer back on track, helping FS win two straight district titles and have one of its winningest seasons this fall.

On the softball field, Ferguson’s done it all at a high level, from hitting to fielding and swiping bases.

After putting pen to paper, she shared how she hopes to inspire those that follow in her footsteps at Franklin-Simpson.

“ I’m so excited to be a role model for future generations and hopefully there will be more dual sport athlete women to come,” Ferguson said. “Today has definitely been a goal of mine to just have this day and I’m super pumped that I get to play at Lindsey Wilson because it’s just right down the road and I’m super excited.”
