Scottsville woman arrested after drug bust at residence
SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A Scottsville woman is back behind bars for the second time within two weeks following a drug investigation.
The Scottsville Police Department says on Wednesday just after 9 a.m., Scottsville officers, the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force and the Kentucky State Police served a search warrant at a home at 407 N. Third St.
Authorities say through an investigation, they found a large amount of marijuana, methamphetamine, firearms and other items consistent with drug trafficking.
Sixty-year-old Shawn Barton was arrested and lodged in the Allen County Detention Center.
She faces charges of trafficking in marijuana, first offense (enhancement), first-degree possession of controlled substance, first offense (drug unspecified)(enhancement), first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine)(enhancement) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Barton was also arrested on Nov. 3 on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine) and tampering with physical evidence.
