KSP to host ‘Cram the Cruiser’ to gather vital food resources for community

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – It’s the season of giving, and the Kentucky State Police is stepping up to help families in need. The agency will host its annual “Cram the Cruiser” food drive on November 24 at Sam’s Club in Bowling Green.

During the event, troopers will fill their cruisers with nonperishable food items donated by community members. The collected food will be distributed to local families struggling this holiday season.

Trooper Katan Parker, Public Affairs Officer for Kentucky State Police Post 3, said the goal is to ensure everyone has something to eat during the holidays.

“We’re not just here to arrest people. We’re here to help and we love our community entirely,” Parker said.

KSP hopes the event highlights its commitment to service beyond law enforcement.

The department encourages residents to donate and make a difference in their neighbors’ lives this Thanksgiving season.
